is it all over?

I would love to say it is over.

The government has definitely attacked this problem head on so you can give them 10 out of 10 for effort.  Attainment might be another score which we have yet to find out.

Over the past 6 months we have seen:

  1. rates dropped to near zero - never seen before
  2. printing of money - never seen before
  3. every MP, civil servant and adviser focusing on the economy - never seen before
  4. the government investing in banks - never seen before

With all these minds thinking about the solution to the problem we must be able to sort it out right?  I mean:

  1. the wealth is still around us. i.e. the buildings, cars, equipment, stuff.  It has not disappeared.  The values attached to them may have changed but the stuff is still here to touch.
  2. we all want to work - there is not a sudden loss of motivation from our UK residents so the efforts from everyone in the UK is still the same.
  3. there is no brain drain - the is no shortage of intelligent people qualifying as skilled workers or graduates.  We still have the same intellectual capital.

So am I worried about the future?  Not really. It will all be sorted in a year.  The next 6 months will be a bit like the last 6 months.

If my business is to go on anything we have had more clients in the last 2 weeks than we have had in the whole of last month.  And last month was a record month!

Interest in property is picking up pace.  If a housing recovery is a sign of economic recovery then I could be privy to some real hot info!  You see from where I am standing property is on the UP!
