We could see history made here. This is the case stated by Darling:
Lend or else
The "else" bit for our two publicly owned banks is court action. It really is. The banks will be dragged to court for breach of contract as they are contractually obliged to lend £39,000,000,000!!!!
He should take them to court anyway, not just threaten. He should send the papers in and get a court summons date. That should push them in to action.
The other big banks that were invited were told that if they did not lend they could face a competition investigation and force them to break up. This is stiff stuff.
So when a bank is forced to lend they simply have to choose the best from the pool of borrowers irrespective if they think you are credit worthy. They need to lend, in large amounts, to the best borrowers from what the banks believe are a lousy bunch i.e. me and you!
So this is what I suggest you do: ASK FOR SOME LOANS! Specifically:
Sounds like a lot of hassle right? It is! But it is these actions that could build you an asset base from which you can live from for the rest of your life.
I did this back in 2000. I applied for every unsecured loan and credit provider in the book. Remember when we used to get junk mail from credit card providers? I did not throw these in the bin. I actually collected them! I applied for every single one. Most said no but some said YES.
It is historic times. The government is going to get tough with the banks to the point where the court will get involved. If the banks do not follow the court's orders they will be in contempt of court and directors will go to prison so we can be assured that the government will get their way.
The government will also apply a big hammer to non conforming banks and break them up in to little bits. It happened to Microsoft where they got split in to two and it could happen to naughty banks.
The message to the bank chiefs are LEND. They have no choice. It is up to you to take full advantage of the big Loan Grab of the 21st century. Do not miss out.
