I increased my rent by 119%, yes 119%

I know it sounds unreal but I really did increase the rent on one of my properties by 119%.  That is more than double the rent I was previously charging and NO I was not charging below market rent.

I have a house in Northampton and I was charging £650 per month.  The tenants left (without telling us) and left the property in a right state.

Anyway, I advertised it in its current condition and left the rent off the advert.  When enquiries came in we told them of the condition but even so we had 20 viewings.  Most said no but one viewer said YES!!!!

Now this is the real neat thing.  I know how you can get seriously high rent.  It doesn?t require you having to upgrade the property or anything like that.  Its due to law changes.

The rent I am going to receive is £1,422 per month. 

I did a quick review on my rent roll and realised I could get an extra £25,000 on top of my current £63,000 rent collection.  The funny thing is that the extra £25,000 is ALL profit.

I know some professional landlords are exploiting this loophole.  I know these because I was chatting to my friend the other day who was doing the same!
