Without becoming too melodramatic here I want to explain how 10 minutes worth of action changed my life.

Back in the year 2000 I tried to raise finance to buy more properties. Not buy to let mortgages but the actual deposits to put down. You can imagine what the lenders said when I told them that:

I wanted the loan to buy property

I had only been self employed for 1 year

I was technically living with my parents

As you can imagine most said no. However that still not stop me making many, many, many applications for finance. And you know what: one lender said YES! Not for a couple of grand but for £20,000!!!! This equated to four deposits for four properties in Corby.

Now these four properties effectively provided the seed capital for me to remortgage, buy more and remortgage everything I bought. In other words if I did not raise this initial £20,000 I would only have half the amount of properties I have now.

If I had not spent the time to fill out this one application form back then my life could have been very different to the one I live now. It is these actions that are life changing. Making applications. Doing deals with people who have money i.e. lenders!
