It can be frustrating sometimes when you search on Rightmove as it does not really cater for the national UK property investor.
If I want to find all the properties listed in Rightmove that estate agents have deemed suitable for a buy to let investor then I have to go through every listing in Rightmove. This would take at least 3 months!
Well not anymore. You can use www.NotLocation.com to search for the words:
“buy to let investor”
and all the properties will come up!
The trick is think about how an estate agent advertises a property that you are usually interested in and use those words as the basis of the search. So if you love buying repossessions (who doesn’t?!) then search for:
mortgagee
This is because estate agents always put the phrase:
“on behalf of the mortgagee…..”
You could also try:
“we are in receipt of an offer” or “7 days”
as agents always have to state “we are in receipt of an offer of £x. Anyone wishing to place a higher offer…..must do so in 7 days”
So play about with it and see what comes up. I tried “RICS” and “portfolio” found some cheap deals and I have put in a few cheeky offers already!
