I have been building a site to assist landlords who buy on yield.  I hope you know what yield is!  Yield is the annual rent divided by the purchase price.  The higher the better.

 

The frustrating thing about using property portals is that all you get is the asking price.  When you ring up to ask the agent what the likely rental figure for the property is they always say they do not do rentals so speak to someone else!

 

So after a few phone calls and a quick verification on the rental portals you can establish a yield for the target property.  This all takes time for each property you are interested in.  You can also miss high yielding properties because you do not know the rental figures as well.

 

So just imagine if you could search for a property and the yield is displayed right next to the listing.  And then it gets better.  Just imagine if you could sort the data in YIELD ORDER with the highest first?

 

Well this is what my guys in Ohio, USA, Singapore and India have come up with.  A site where you search by the first part of the postcode and then the results are live listings of properties actually for sale from various property portals, with the rental and yield figures on the right. 

 

Then all you have to do is click on the yield button twice and it sorts the data in yield descending order.  It is simply quite amazing and will be the only way I search for properties from now on.
