A key reason of my success in investing in property was my early use of the internet.  I was probably one of the first few thousand users of Rightmove back in the day.  Rightmove pretty much changed my life.

 

I was able to travel all across the country simply by pointing, clicking and pressing search!  It was this with also my careful use of my excel spreadsheet which has helped me plan and build my portfolio.

 

Now rightmove is one of the pillars of the internet but the thing is the internet moves so fast that this pillar could come crumbling down and be replaced by another fresh new pillar.

 

To succeed really well you need to be on the look out for the next new thing.  Now you do not have to invent anything but you just have to be aware of new things that can give you the edge.

 

The great thing about property is that it is such a slow moving beast you can stumble across things and use for years before anyone else cottons on.

 

I used rightmove solidly for 6 years to build my portfolio and I still visit every now and again.  If I did not use rightmove back in 2000 and waited till 2002 I would have missed the biggest property boom of recent times. 

 

So my message to you is keep an eye out for investor tools.  Tools which can assist you and what not a lot of people know about.  Know what I mean?
